The Department of Justice has announced Jack Smith is being shown the door and dissolving his federal cases before Donald Trump takes office. Those cases are the inert January 6 case and the moribund presidential documents case. Before Smith goes, someone who's not a Chris Wray flunky should lock down his office, confiscate all electronics, and prevent a Hillary Clinton-like bleach bit and shredding party.
Attorney General Merrick Garland, who heads the so-called "Justice" Department, just realized that his office, and by extension, his illegally appointed special counsel, can't bring charges against a sitting president of the United States. Odd that it hasn't stopped them from conjuring cases against Trump before, Presidential Records Act, ethics, and the law be damned.

Post-Election Truths: The Things That Won’t Change (No Matter Who Wins)
Despite all of the work that has been done to persuade us to buy into the fantasy that things will change if we just elect the “right” political savior, the day after a new president is sworn in, it will be business as usual for the unelected bureaucracy that actually runs the government.
War will continue. Drone killings will continue. Surveillance will continue. Censorship of anyone who criticizes the government will continue. The government’s efforts to label dissidents as extremists and terrorists will continue. Police shootings will continue. SWAT team raids will continue. Highway robbery meted out by government officials will continue. Corrupt government will continue. Profit-driven prisons will continue. And the militarization of the police will continue.
These problems have persisted—and in many cases flourished—under both Republican and Democratic administrations in recent years.
The outcome of this year’s election changes none of that.
The shadow government— a.k.a. the Deep State, a.k.a. the police state, a.k.a. the military industrial complex, a.k.a. the surveillance state complex—will continue unabated. The corporatized, militarized, entrenched bureaucracy that is fully operational and staffed by unelected officials will continue to call the shots in Washington DC, no matter who sits in the White House or controls Congress.
Elon Musk, RFK Jr and even potentially Ron Paul... provides a lot of hopium, for sure. But...
The Deep State is, well, deep. Big, entrenched, bureaucratic... and loyal to their Masters.
